Emarti Hewani Wind Energy Farm
In Kajiado County, Kenya, the 100MW Emarti Hewani Wind Energy Farm is in the final stages of the feasibility phase. Located south of Kenya Marble Quarry approximately 90km southwest of Nairobi, the facility has a capacity factor of more than 40% and is capable of generating more than 350GWh per annum.
Miombo Hewani Wind Farm
In Tanzania, the 300MW Miombo Hewani Wind Energy Facility is a build-ready, high resource wind energy project located near Makambako town, Wanging’ombe district in Njombe Region, that is ideally placed to complement Tanzania’s hydropower facilities during the dry season. With a net capacity factor of more than 55%, it has the potential to deliver a significant power output.
Meru County Energy Park
This innovative and construction-ready 220MW renewable energy generation facility is the first utility-scale, grid-connected hybrid electricity project in Africa, and showcases a remarkable combination of 200MW wind and 20MW solar PV systems. It was developed through a unique public-private partnership between the Meru County Government and Hewani Energy, fostering a synergy that blends governmental vision and private sector expertise.

Ishwati Emoyeni
The Ishwati Emoyeni project is located near Murraysburg in South Africa’s Western Cape province.
Identified using industry-leading tools in 2008, the site covers approximately 24,000 ha, with the land being leased in 2010.
The project is fully approved, with Environmental Authorisation being granted in 2016, along with Provisional Civil Aviation Authority approval. It is currently awaiting REIPPPP Bid Window 6 announcements to determine its construction date.
Msenge Emoyeni
The Msenge Emoyeni project is located near Bedford in South Africa’s Eastern Cape Province and is the second phase of the greater Amakhala Emoyeni project concept.
The 27,000ha site area is close to good infrastructure such as roads and the national electricity grid, and is currently under construction by a third party.
